Gorka is our director of the biological department. He is passionate about learning and teaching. Driven by an uncontrollable curiosity to understand how the human body works, he devotes a great deal of his time to this.
Gorka graduated in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences at the University of the Basque Country, and then specialised in exercise physiology with several postgraduate and masters degrees.
His professional life has been linked, on the one hand, to business, founding several companies dedicated to improving people’s health, and, on the other hand, to advising professional athletes and people with different pathologies.
He currently combines all this with teaching on the Master’s Degree in Healthy Ageing at the University of the Basque Country, and with research on his Doctoral Thesis on the improvement of quality of life in breast cancer survivors.
